50 Biscayne in Downtown Miami is one of the few buildings built by the Related Group where developer inventory is still available. The developer units in 50 Biscayne are controlled by a partnership between the Related Group and private equity firm Lubert-Adler Partners. They purchased 120 units in the building in a transaction that was designed to end Cousins Properties' involvement with the development as they were one of the original developers.
50 Biscayne is very similar to some of the other Related Group's other developments such as the Plaza on Brickell and 500 Brickell. In my opinion, 50 Biscayne is in a better location as it sits right across from Bayfront Park and is walking distance from the American Airlines Arena. The location is great for anyone who works in the Downtown Area. On the 10th floor of the building is the amenities deck which features an infinity edge pool, party room which can be reserved, and a club room complete with billiard table, bar, and big screen tv.
50 Biscayne offers a variety of studios, one, two, and three bedroom units. All of the one bedrooms and studios face west. My favorite unit is the 05 line which is a 1 bedroom unit that is 845 square feet, the view from this line on a high floor at night is spectacular. There are no tall buildings directly west of 50 Biscayne, so at night you can see the city lights for miles. On the east side of the building, the 3 bedroom units sit on the corners, and the 2 bedroom units occupy the center portion of the facade. The 3 bedroom units are around 1800 square feet and the 2 bedrooms are around 1350 square feet. The east view is gorgeous, as you are looking out onto Bayfront Park and Biscayne Bay.
